In December 2015, after many years as a stay-at-home mom, I started this adventure of turning my hobby into a real life business. With a background in fashion design and teaching, I had kept up my love of drawing while my kids were growing up. After producing a set of cards as a gift for a friend, I decided to see if I could make a go in my own home-based business. Cards by Janet Karp has since expanded into local stores, developed an online business, and partnered with other local businesses to expand my line.
All my cards are inspired by a sense of whimsy and fun with a dash of fashion thrown in. They are each hand-drawn and printed on thick card stock. Each one is individual and unique.
I make my cards as if I will be giving them to my own family and friends, and my aim is to help others pass on a happy thought to someone they care about.
December 2022 marked my 7th year in business. I am so grateful to all of you: my clients, vendors, friends and family for your continued support. You’ve believed in me and watched Cards by Janet Karp grow to 24 stores strong. Thank you for being there and holding my hand.
